2010 National Trust of Australia (NSW) Energy Australia Heritage Award for Conservation Built Heritage - Projects under $1million - Individuals

Montrose was constructed in 1967-68 by Sir George Wigram Allen, who was the first mayor of Glebe.
Between 1871 and 1996 the building was occupied by various merchants and medical professionals before being used as a teaching practice for natural health therapists until 2006.
During 2008-09 the facade and interior of Montrose was restored to its original 1860's condition, with engineering works supervised by Hughes Trueman's specialist heritage engineers.
